It sounds crazy, but putting cauliflower in your smoothies is life changing.
I have seen so many food bloggers swearing by stuffing there smoothies with tons of frozen vegetables. Looking at the ingredients, I couldn’t help but cringe at the thought of drinking broccoli and sweet potatoes. I can deal with adding in a cup of spinach to my banana smoothie. To me, that was normal and palatable. But cauliflower? Absolutely not, I’ll pass.
But then I tried it.
After seeing this pop up on my feed for the 500th time, I finally gave in and decided to give it a go. I’m not kidding when I tell you this was life changing. I used 1/2 of a banana, with the rest being vegetables, and it seriously tastes like a pina colada. I’m convinced that using 1/2 a banana and your favorite flavored protein powder is they key to masking any vegetables present in your smoothie. I will definitely be adding this into my morning drink and trying out tons of different variations.
Not only can you not taste the cauliflower, but it creates a texture that resembles ice cream. It was basically like I was having coconut ice cream for breakfast and, if you can’t already tell, I’m pretty excited about it. This is the best way to eat vegetables in my opinion. I highly suggest trying this recipe out!

- 1 scoop protein powder (I use Tone It Up’s coconut protein)
